Motorola Releases New ATRIX Android Smartphone

Looking forward to purchasing a new Smartphone? I am sure you have considered Android. Every cell phone brand is coming up with a handset of the Android platform these days. The reason: the popularity of the applications offered by the android market. Be it the paid ones or the free ones all applications from the android market are found to be very useful in the day to day life.

With 3G services being made available in most countries, the US fastened itself for a journey to the next level-4G. This next generation promises better download and upload speeds up to 6MBPS-thats almost 3 times the current 3G speeds. But to take advantage of this high paced data traffic, you need phones, Smartphone's that can take that kind of use. The new Motorola ATRIX 4G leads the pack. Unveiled at a press conference, the ATRIX runs on the Android 2.2 Froyo OS, boasts of a 4-inch qHD display and is powered by a massive 1GHz processor coupled with a beastly 1GB RAM.

ATRIX being the top-of-the-line Smartphone's from Motorola, has been packed with amazing hardware. The 4-inch qHD display supports a 960x540 pixel resolution with the 24-bit colour graphics. Not to forget the HSPA+ (4G) radio chip for faster downloads.

Powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC dual core 1GHz processor and an enormous 1GB RAM, using the Android 2.2 Froyo coupled with the MOTOBLUR UI is a breeze on this baby. With 16GB of onboard memory (which can be further expanded by 32GB via a memory card), you certainly won't be fretting for disk space soon. Also the phone can be connected to a notebook using a slim laptop dock to make the best of HDMI. The super-slim dock, dubbed the "engine" also has an HD media deck to make the most of the phones processing power.

On the camera front, the ATRIX has 2 cameras- a 5MP camera with LED flash capable of recording 720p HD video at the back and a front facing VGA camera for video calls. Also expected is a good web browsing experience from the standard web kit browser and from the full HTML supporting Firefix browser when coupled to a laptop. Think that's enough? There's more. This machine supports Flash Player 10.1 with Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and draws power from a massive 1930 mAh lithium cell battery which offers up to 9hours of talk time.

So, what do we think of this baby? Well what do you expect when you have a 4G phone with a 1GHz dual core NVIDIA processor, 1GB RAM, HSPA+ radio chip, 4-in qHD 960x540 pixel 24-bit color graphics display, 16GB of on board memory, a 5MP camera capable of HD video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and using Android 2.2 Froyo with the MOTOBLUR UI? We have just one word for it- A Winner. Expect this Smartphone's to be launched at the end of the first quarter of this year, believe us we say it- This is one heck of a machine.
